National Flowers Series - Balearic Islands, Sicily & Slovenia - Carnation(Dianthus Caryophyllus)

This segment of the National Flowers Series covers three countries, the Balearic Islands, Sicily and Slovenia with the Carnation.

There are many different colours of Carnation, I chose the following to do for this look.

Carnation

This Finished look

Start with a foundation routine. Now onto the eyes. I used my 252 pallette from Coastal Scents. I used Polar Bare all over my lid and on my crease. I then went over Polar Bare with Ivory Dust for some shimmer. For the crease, I actually went in and outlined my crease with Vibrant Maroon, I then took Wine Berry and used that under the Vibrant Maroon to fade into the white to imitate the edges of the Carnation. I used Wine Berry underneath my lower lash line. To complete the eyes, I lined them with a slight wing at the outer corner, I also lined the outer corners and about a third of the way in below my lower lash line and smudged that with an angled brush. I lined my waterline with a black liner. Apply mascara and the eyes are complete.

Now for the lips. I used Pink Sizzle from Femme Couture as my base then outlined my lips with Vibrant Maroon from my 252 pallette. I then used Wine Berry to fill in the rest of my lips. I dabbed some White Silver on the center of my lips for some dimension and that completes the lips for this look.

National Flowers Series - Bahamas and Virgin Islands - Yellow Elder/Yellow Cedar/Yellow Trumpet(Tecoma Stans)

This segment of the National Flowers Series is yet another double whammy, the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands with the Yellow Elder flower, also known as Yellow Cedar or Yellow Trumpet Flower. At this point in time I'm doing my best to change up the colour schemes which proves to be quite difficult when the flowers continue to be yellow but I'm making due. With this flower I tried to pull colours from the depth of the flower as you will see in the folowing photo.

Yellow Elder Flower

For this look, I actually have two different lips, I will show the finished look with both.

Look #1

Look #2

Although the lips are different the eyes stay the same, so lets begin with those.
As usual from the inner corner to outer blend the following.

Oktoberfest>Pumpkin Pie>Solar Flare

Crease: Seaside Bronze
Below lower lashline(inner corner to outer): Oktoberfest>Pumpkin Pie>Seaside Bronze

With a black eyeliner(I use Maybelline's Eyestudio creme liner in black) line yourlashline and create a slight wing at the outer corner of the eye. Finish with mascara.
I used a light brown eyeshadow with an angled brush to lightly fill in my brows, as a blonde I don't want them too dark.

Now for the lips, I lent my cousin my nude base lipstick so I improvised with my concealer as a base for my eyeshadows. For the first lip, from the outside to the inside these are the colours I used:
Oktoberfest>Pumpkin Pie>Solar Flare

For the second lip look, I just went over my previous lip with Harvest Brown.

That completes this look.

Foundation Routine

So I finally got around to photographing my foundation routine. Here are the results of that endeavor. I begin with washing my face. I recently broke out with some acne, this is more than I've ever had before and its not too visible in this photo, but it is primarily on my cheeks., so I'm using Proactiv's 3 step system in the extra strength formula.

Here I am with no makeup.

So I begin with L'Oreal's True Match Lumi foundation in soft ivory/classic ivory.

I use my fingers to blend the foundation, beginning with my cheeks and chin, nose, then doing my forehead last. Which brings us to this picture.

Already a HUGE difference. Now for the concealer. I use L'Oreal's True Match concealer in cool-fair, light.

I dab that on my blemishes and dark spots and blend with my fingers, I try to dab the concealer to blend instead of rubbing it, I find that I get better coverage that way.

I usually finish with L'Oreal's True Match Naturale mineral powder in Nude Beige but as you can tell from this picture, I'm all out.

Then do your eyes and lips and you're ready to go.

National Flowers Series - Austria and Switzerland - Edelweiss(Leontopodium alpinum)

The next segment of the National Flowers Series is another two for one, the Edelweiss, an unusual looking flower but quite beautiful which is the national flower of both Austria and Switzerland.

Edelweiss

The completed look

This entire look is very simple. Begin with a foundation routine. I used my 252 pallette, for the eyes I used White Silver all over the lid and up to the brow bone, then I used Solar Flare on the inner corners of the eyes and blended that out into the white. Finish with a dramatic cat eye in black. Apply mascara and you're done with the eyes!

Now onto the lips. I wanted something to complement instead of match the eyes this time. I chose to a pink lipstick, for this purpose I used Pink Sizzle by Femme Couture which can be found at Sally's. I then used Peachy Keen from my 252 pallete over the lipstick to mute it a bit.

That completes this look. I finally got around to my foundation routine, it will be uploaded shortly.

(Please excuse the fuzziness of the last 3 photos)

National Flowers Series - Australia - Golden Wattle(Acacia pycnantha)

The third installment of the National Flowers Series is Australia, with their national flower being the Golden Wattle.

The Golden Wattle

The completed look

For once I went with a nude lip, this was to give the yellow eyeshdow an opportunity to pop. As usual begin with your foundation routine. I may be switching this up soon and ending with my foundation routine to eliminate results of eyeshadow fallout but we'll see.

Now for the eyes. I used Solar Flare all over the lid and blended it out into the crease. I then took Ivory Dust and used that on my brow bone and blended it into the crease to create a back-lit glow effect. I tightlined with Maybelline's  creme eyeliner in black and applied black mascara. This is the final result.

The lips are simple, I used my go-to base liptick, Bedhead by TIGI in a shimmery nude to complete this look.

And you're all done!

National Flowers - Argentina - Ceibo (Erythrina Crista-galli)

The second installment of the National Flower Series is two for the price of one, this being because both Argentina and Uruguay have the same national flower. This flower grows on the Ceibo tree.

The completed look

Begin with a foundation routine. Once you have completed your foundation routine and contouring, if you contour, you can begin on the eyes.

Working from the inner corner of the eye to the outer, these are the colours I used for this look.

Volcanic Blast with Marmalade > Vibrant red with Marmalade

Crease: Pomegranate Red with Vibrant Maroon
Below Lower Lashline: Incognito

For the lips, working from the outsides in, these are the colours I used.
Bedhead by TIGI in a shimmery nude as a base.

Scorched Red > Vibrant Maroon > Pomegranate Red > Vibrant Red

Finish by dabbing a clear lipgloss over the top. And the lips are done!

I hope you enjoyed this look.
